Our story
Every Re-Tread rug starts as a pile of used plastic bottles. The PET is cleaned, shredded and melted into a tough, weatherproof yarn, then woven into a flatweave rug that is reversible — a pattern on one side, a different one on the other, so you can flip it to change the look. It sheds rain, resists sun and mildew, and rinses clean with a hose. Indoors or out, on a deck or a kitchen, it is a rug with a second life built in.

Used PET bottles are cleaned, shredded, melted and spun into yarn. The yarn is woven on a loom into a dense flatweave, finished on both sides with different patterns, and trimmed. The result is a waterproof, UV-resistant rug that is designed to live outdoors.
Lay it flat on a clean, dry surface, indoors or out. Because it is reversible, flip it to show the other side whenever you want a change. Hose it down or wipe it clean when it gets dusty, and let it dry in the open air.
